An Incomplete Message

Let’s start out our study today by reading John 10:4-5.

There are many voices today speaking about Jesus Christ. In many churches, there are thousands of people following the theology of their preachers. They simply believe what is taught without ever examining the Bible to see whether the things that are spoken even exist in the Scriptures.

These same churches send their missionaries around the world into many countries trying to “evangelize” people with their message. They do this not even knowing what the complete Gospel message even is. They don’t even realize what the Gospel actually requires of those who want salvation for their soul.

Often times the messages that are delivered are partial and incomplete. This is called fragmented theology. The Good News of the Gospel is not fully spoken of because the whole Gospel message is not shared in its completeness.

The Apostle Paul himself said that he never hesitated to declare all the counsel of God. Acts 20:27 Much of Christianity today is not aware of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about. They only give a partial message of the Truth as they understand it.

The reality is you cannot give what you yourself don’t have to give. You cannot give to someone else what you don’t personally possess, not can you explain to someone else what you don’t understand yourself. Matthew 15:14, Luke 6:39

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is more than just simply believing.

It is by faith of obedience to being born again according to the Scriptures. John. 3:3, 5, 7, Acts 2:37-39 For example, In Exodus 24:3-4, 8; God told Moses to tell the people all the words of the Word of the Lord concerning the covenant that He had made with the people.

The message of Moses was complete.

In Deuteronomy 12:28, the Lord told the Israelites to observe and to hear ALL these words which He commanded them that it would go well with them and their children after them forever.

Notice it was only after ALL the words were spoken that the completed message was given and heard that the people would prosper. Jeremiah also was instructed to give ALL the words to His people and they would receive the benefits of obedience. Jeremiah 7:23, 27 God has always required obedience to His word. James 1:22

It is only after the complete message of the Gospel is preached that the lost of this world will have an opportunity to be saved.

Remember, you cannot believe or obey what you do not know. Romans 10:14-15

We see the account of the angel of the Lord opening the prison doors and brought the Apostles forth. In response to this, the Apostles went boldly into the Temple and taught ALL the words of this life.

In response to this teaching, the Jews were mad. Acts. 5:17-20, 24-29 The conclusion of this matter was Peter and the rest of the Apostles were determined to obey God rather than man and to keep proclaiming ALL the words of Truth and Life.

Many people start their journey in the search for Truth, but they will not finish their journey because they are not given ALL the words and the complete instructions to what must be done to enter God’s Kingdom.

Our faith must be built on a sure foundation and not on bits and pieces of Scripture. No matter what church is preaching this incomplete message or how long they have been doing it, or even where in the world they go to preach it, it must be ALL the words of this life.

When you change and alter the Gospel of Jesus Christ from what the Scripture say, you change the results of the Gospel in the lives of people. Galatians 1:8,9, Acts 20:27

There is only one foundation of God that stands sure; that is the one that is built on the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone. 2 Timothy 2:19, Ephesians 2:20

Jesus spoke of the two foundations that people build their hope upon. Matthew 7:24-27 One of the foundations was God-made and the other foundation was man-made. Deuteronomy 32:4, Mark 7:7

The God-made foundation was based on the never changing Word of God as was given to the Apostles. John 17:8 This Gospel was preached throughout the Scriptures. Acts2:37-40, 1 Timothy 4:16

The other was based on an always changing traditional man-made doctrine that has been handed down through the years. Mark 7:7-9 This turns into a truly “hand-me-down religion”.

Conclusion

Remember, knowledge is knowing the facts and no matter what you believe of what your family or church believe, that doesn’t change the facts. Facts are the statements of Truth found in the book we call the Bible. John 17:17

The Truth can always be discerned by examining book, chapter, and verse and by examining person, place and event. In other words, the Scriptures must be read in their proper context always paying attention to “audience relevance” (to whom that passage was written).

It is only after you hear EVERYTHING about the Gospel of Jesus Christ can one make an educated choice in obeying what must be done to be saved.
